Home / How We Work

A journey we take
together.

Three phases, one continuous conversation. Design & Development — the second phase — is where belcor® sets itself apart and where your input shapes the outcome.

You are part of this journey — start to finish
From briefing to series production, every decision is taken with you. No hand-offs, no black boxes. Your input is what shapes the outcome.
01
Understand
Output: requirements spec + preliminary solution
Your role
You share constraints, requirements, and operating conditions.

The heart of this step is to clearly understand customer needs, requirements, and challenges for a specific application that is performed together with the customer. Typical data to be collected: cell-related mechanical constraints (BOL, EOL), operating temperatures, and fire exposure requirements.

02
Design together
Where the real value is created
Your role
You evaluate physical prototypes and define each iteration.

This is where belcor® sets itself apart. We co-engineer the solution through an iterative cycle with physical prototypes — delivered in 2–3 weeks each — that you can test under real conditions in your application. Your feedback shapes the next iteration.
03
Contract
Output: purchase order / contract
Your role
You sign off on validated terms — no surprises after Design.

Binding quotation is negotiated and closed. Since the solution is technically validated; this step is about formalizing the terms to move to series production.

Each step in detail

What actually happens at each phase — and what you get out of it.

01

Understand

Output: requirements spec + preliminary solution

The starting point is always listening. We analyse your battery system requirements together: cell chemistry, operating temperatures, mechanical constraints, required certifications, available space in the module.

The result is an initial requirements spec and a preliminary solution — a concrete starting point for the next phase. No commitment, no cost at this stage.

Where the real value is created

This is where belcor® sets itself apart. We co-engineer the solution through an iterative cycle of physical prototypes — delivered in 2–3 weeks each — that you test under real conditions in your application. Your feedback shapes the next iteration.

You stay in the loop at every cycle: data, samples, technical reviews, and refinements. Most projects converge in 2–4 iterations. Pre-RFI / RFI proposals run in parallel, so commercial alignment is never a surprise.

Contract

Output: PURCHASE ORDER / CONTRACT

With the solution technically validated, we move to the binding offer (RFQ) and negotiation. Because Design was done with you in the room, this step is about formalizing terms — not re-opening the technical conversation.

Production in whatever format your process requires: rolls, sheets, die-cut parts, or multilayer assemblies. European production with global industrial shipping capacity.

What we bring to the journey

The capabilities that make this co-design process possible.

Own pilot line
Rapid prototyping on our pilot line. Iterations in weeks, not months.
Multilayer solutions
Substrate + adhesives + films + mica: we deliver the complete engineered assembly ready to integrate.
European production
BELCOTEX® fiber from Freiburg. Industrial transformation in Ordizia (Spain). Full traceability.
Global footprint
Industrial capacity in China and Brazil. Technical advisors in Italy and Romania.
